What New Salem is doing to help.

We are praying for our sisters and brothers in Haiti who are suffering from the aftermath of the worst earthquake there in 200 years.  We have been working to communicate with our churches in the country with limited success.  Of the three cell phone companies operating in Haiti, only one of them is partially functioning now.

In the meantime, we are calling for financial support so that we can get money into impacted communities through our churches in Haiti. The 22 churches of the L'Union Strategique des Eglesis Baptistes d'Haiti will work to ensure that resources get to families in need. Additionally, we will be sending a list of additional items that will be collected in the US and sent to Haiti with one of our US-based partners.  We will keep you informed of developments and additional opportunities to support.

We’ve set up a Haiti donation option through New Salem’s on-line giving, where you can give directly through the church. All donations will be sent from New Salem, to the Lott Carey relief effort already in progress.

Simply log-in as usual to eSalem, click the "online giving" tab and look for the "Haiti Donations Online" option.
