We Were Made For Relationship

"The most important command is this: 'Listen, people of Israel! The Lord our God is the only Lord. Love the Lord your God with all your  heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.' The second command is this: 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.' There are no commands more important than these."

Mark 12:29-31

On January 8, 2012, New Salem Missionary Baptist Church kicked off an exciting spiritual journey, and we want to ensure that you are involved. The six week campaign, "40 Days of Love - We Were Made for Relationships" will lead partipants into a deeper relationship, not only with Christ, but with family, friends, co-workers, and others you interact with througout your life.

Nothing matters more than relationships and no one understands them better than Jesus. Based on an exhaustive study of what Jesus did and said about relationships, the book used during the campaign guides readers on a forty-day journey that will bring new health and richness to their marriages, families, friendships, and all the relationships in their lives. With conflict, divorce, violence, prejudice, abuse, division, and polarization around us daily, it's obvious we all need some lessons in building healthy relationships, and that's what 40 Days of Love is all about.

One of the questions being asked at the beginning of the campaign will be "What is your #1 goal in life?"

The campaign will be open to members and non-members and led by New Salem CARE Group Shepherd Leaders. The groups will be guided by a book and DVD (40 Days of Love). The book can be purchased in New Salem's King Corner Christian Bookstore for $8.99 + tax.

One of our major goals is to communicate more like Jesus and love more like Jesus. Let's discover together a love that is patient, kind, forgiving, unselfish and always speaks the truth, all during this six-week journey into the very heart of the matter.
